Nice work on these tho, the capes look really sweet!
As for the matching of armor that's up to the player because the cape is a standalone item ... eventually you may suggest different colors , ... I was thinking to use some skins of some animals like the sabertooth ... then add also an overcoat piece and a hood the overcoat may end covering the pauldrons the hood may result in beeing made of fur , or animal head ...
the main thing I wanted was to give at the most possible the impression of the cape wrapping around the player but more than this it cause bad clipping so I did my best at covering the most and avoiding the clipping ...
