Skyrim Modding Competition

Modding Skyrim just got a whole lot easier with the release of the Creation Kit™, the SDK for Skyrim. The Creation Kit™ allows modders to add and change pretty much anything within Skyrim and then share these mods with others through Skyrim Nexus.

We know mod authors don't need an incentive to release their great work within the community, however we've partnered with video card behemoths Nvidia and gaming computer specialists iBUYPOWER to provide some great prizes to mod authors within the Nexus community.

The Prizes

The mod with the highest number of endorsements from recognised mod authors* on Skyrim Nexus by the endorsement end date shall win this brand spanking new, Skyrim branded desktop PC, courtesy of iBUYPOWER.
A judging panel comprised of Nexus Staff will choose a winning entry based on their judging criteria. The winner shall receive two Skyrim branded PNY GTX560Ti graphics cards, perfect for SLI, courtesy of Nvidia.
Finally, a mod shall be picked to win a single Skyrim branded PNY GTX560Ti graphics card by a judging panel comprised of Nexus staff, courtesy of Nvidia.

Judgement

The winners of the Skyrim branded PNY GTX560Ti video cards will be decided by a judging panel composed of recognised staff members of Skyrim Nexus. The judges will pick a winner by vote in accordance with their own assessment of entries based on a number of different criteria including the technicality, the originality, the scope and the execution of entries. The judging panel's decision is final.

*The winner of the iBUYPOWER Skyrim branded PC shall be decided by the mod with the highest number of endorsements from recognised mod authors on NEXUSMODS.COM by Monday the 30th of April 2012. Any files uploaded after the competition closing date (7th April 2012) will not be eligible to win. Recognised mod authors are users who have uploaded a file to one or more NEXUSMODS.COM sites that has received over 1,000 unique downloads, and who are within the "Mod author" membership group by the time the competition closes.

Entering

This competition is open to all mod authors who have uploaded mods to Skyrim Nexus, pursuant to an acceptance of our competition Terms and Conditions. If for any reason a mod author does not accept our competition Terms and Conditions or does not meet the eligibility requirements they will not be eligable to receive any prizes in this competition. In such an eventuality the mod next closest to winning the prize shall be named the winner.

Only mods that have been uploaded to SkyrimNexus.com will be eligible for this competition.

Closing date

This modding competition will end on Saturday the 7th of April 2012, after which any mods uploaded to the site will not be eligable to win any prizes in the competition. Total mod author endorsements for the winner of the iBUYPOWER computer will be calculated on the 30th of April 2012. Winners will be notified by email and forum PM within 28 days of the competition ending.
