Part 1(kind of)
>> Part 3(kind of)

After our long, and much needed respite in Whiterun, my trio and I decided to head out on the next clear cut task. Retrieve the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. It sounded simple enough.
The road was for the most part easy, we ran into the occasional bear and an unfortunate Khajiit soul who fell victim to the aforementioned. I made the mistake of allowing Helior to read our map and therefore be our guide. Some how we ended up much farther west then was necessary and eerily close to Morthal. We had ridden close to Morthal on one occasion before, but never ventured into the town. There was a foreboding vibe about the place.
Helior: "Miss Dove, I...I'm so sorry.... I have failed you". His ears are folded down and his eyes are down cast, he looks absolutely remorseful.
I've never been a hard handed person, sure my behind is sore and my legs are stiff from riding much longer than necesarry, but "Helior, listen, you saved us from the harsh weather of going over the mountains, and now we'll have some time to stop in Morthal to rest before searching for that Horn."
He lifts his head to look at me, but his sullen look remains. "Come all" I say, looking at Helior. "Let's find us a place to grab us some mead!"
---
I would rather not mention much more of Morthal... It turns out there was a Vampire conspiracy going on... My mind is still trying to comprehend all of this, I mean I heard of this Dawnguard business, but didn't think very much of it as I had personally never actually seen a vampire. Now I have. Now I know.
It's time to head out, we're all well rested, as far as our bodies are concerned. Our minds. Not so much. Surprisingly Cerwiden is taking this all with ease, I don't know much of her past, but perhaps she's had to deal with similar darkness.
We reach Ustengrav and are greeted by some bandits whom are camping outside. They are easily taken care of. We enter the what? Dungeon? Tomb? and there are Mages and Draugr seemingly at war. We sit back in the shadows and watch them obliterate each other. And then we join in the fun. Thankfully Ustengrav is pretty straight forward, and really not all that long. Eric points to a word wall that I didn't notice at all, heck I didn't even hear or feel the chanting eminating from it. That is until I noticed a way down to it, suddenly feeling myself drawn to it, feeling the sound beating in my chest, eminating through my body, shaking me to my core, making me quiver. I walk, what I think is steadily to the word wall and I gasp as it's power and it's over powering knowledge joins within me, becoming part of me. I tilt my head back open my mouth and stretch my arms out from my sides. Once it's over, I'm breathing hard, over whelmed and feeling a little light, or should I say heavy headed with the new power instilled in me.
The trio stands back a little ways from me, Cerwiden smiling at me like a proud sister, Eric looks as if he's gaping... yes..gaping. And Helior, well i'm not sure what that is, it looks like a cross between a blank stare and a silly grin. I wave my hands at them including them all in my gesture "Are you okay?" I ask with a grin on my face.
Cerwiden: "Of course, I just wish I knew what that felt like... it looks so, so... intense!"
Helior: "Yes Miss Dove, are you ready to carry on?"
Eric clears his throat, "Yes, Helior is right we should probably get that Horn and get a move on, we've been in here for a couple hours now. I'll find the way back up for us" He starts searching for the pathway up in the dim lighting.
I know he's going the wrong way, but I humour him and allow him to find the way for us.
We find ourselves walking across a gaping chasm and soon we are staring at the resting place of Jurgen Wincaller's Horn. What an elegant place, in a dark eerie sort of way. Making our way down the path to the monument, suddenly the world shakes and we still our feet. I unknowingly grab Eric's shoulder as he places a hand around my waist steadying me. Strange pillars raise from the water in a dramatic effect, water bubbling and seeping from the bottom. Eventually the world stops moving and Eric lets me go, I in turn release his shoulder. "Thank you" I say looking at him, but not quite meeting his gaze. He says nothing.
My eyes search the room for Cerwiden and Helior and my mouth gapes as I see them clasping onto one another, chest to chest in a tight embrace with their eyes closed. "Ceri, Hel, c'mon you two. It's stopped, and you're fine" I say with a smile. They both raise their heads to look in my direction, shyly and slowly unwrapping from one another.
I take a breath and more cautiously than before we complete our walk to the monument for Jurgen Windcaller's Horn. I am dismayed.
"The Horn!" I raise my voice. "It's not even here!"
Eric: "Wait, what do you mean?"
Cerwiden: "Maybe it fell off?" She shrugs "I'll look around"
Helior: "I may not be a dog Miss Dove, but if there's a rat, I will sniff him... or her out."
Oh no, what am I going to do, what if the horn isn't here at all? What if it's not even in Skyrim, what if someone destroyed it? What if one of the mages got it first? But wait what's that? "Wait guys, there's a letter here I think" I go onto read it.
"It says something about renting the Attic room in the Sleeping Giant Inn in the town of Riverwood." I sigh. There is still hope yet... but why? Well there's only one way to find out.
Helior: "I definitely smell a rat".
