About this image

This is Neerah, my new char (still WIP...as usual), she will be the protagonist of my upcoming screenarchery and machimina experiments.

Like Hirlok, my old archer-mage, she has seen way too much in her life. In about half the amount of years.

Endured much in her youth thanks to her looks and her talents - witchhunts were no privilege of earth, they were common in Tamriel as well.

Well, she is still alive. And she has quite an agenda, part of which is beating up anyone who deserves it with a wooden stick...

Oh, and she was named after my dog, but I guess she would not object, because it is a really great dog ;-)

Looking awesome so far! She looks so strong and experienced.
Well, unfortunately I couldn't name my character after my dog. Corporal Nobbs - it doesn't sing, it doesn't dance...

LOL - Corporal Nobbs, made my day, hehe.
Well, I could imagine a slightly overweight Orc fighter with an immense thirst for honningbrew or whatever that evil sweet mead stuff is called... *gulp*

...but thanks for your kind words.

Yes, she is strong - and hates the fact that she has to be.
She is experienced - and would gladly have skipped some of those experiences...
She is pretty good with bow and sword - but usually sticks with her wooden stick.

... and she'll be back soon, currently that buggy real-life prerelease demands my attention, LOL

Hey! You should imagine a tiny guard of uknown race, sir Terry Pratchett created him!

      Ah, Outernets... they suck, right?

And now I'm so curious about your character. I like chars that are sort of anti-heroes.

I know, I googled him, hehe (not much of a TP reader, at least not until now ;-) )

Dem Outernets actually are very friendly to me right now (a friend of mine just arrived in Paraguay, we are buying a bigger and "own" piece of land in the near future), I get a new little motorbike, that sort of outernetly stuff - just not as much time as I would need to bring my screenie-skills to the next level, LOL

GO READ PRATCHETT. Motorbike can wait (by the way - groovy!). As an official Pratchett geek I am sworn to harass all non-readers of my beloved, so beware

Oh, oh, incoming Pratchett Geek, now I'm fucked.
Ok, ok, - promise - will grab the whole package and make my Kindle and eyes bleed during the next weeks ;-) (had him on my list anyways, after some years of non-reading I started swallowing books once again - just finished the Gerald saga, unfortunately not in Polish, but the German translation was pretty neat)

Actually, I heard about German translation, people weren't complaining. English version on the other hand... I heard it didn't do Sapkowski's writing any justice. I'm not a fan of his (and he's a real pain in the ass, so conceited...), but he created a very believable world with many history and folklore references. Such stuff is not that easy to translate.
Pratchett is pure gold. I fell in love with him when I was a little kid and will love him forever. You can say he raised me - literally. He taught me how to deal with life and death, and for that I will forever be grateful.
      Drama llama mode off.

yeah, English witcher version did not appeal to me - way too many "translators" who are not actually writers. They usually are good at understanding the original, but do not have real command of their own language, at least not in the way that would be needed to "recreate" the work. And there are worlds that you can only re-create if you have "been there" and have a very similar mindset like the original author.

Sapkowski hit a spot in my past (not this life, older stuff) - a lot of things in the world of Gerald and Ciri (elven resistance, those dryads, Milva the archer...) literally put me through old memories that wanted to be looked at once more.

See, drama llamas live in Paraguay as well, LOL

I am sure it is a great honor to be named after your dog Most of my dog names tend to make good fantasy names if not good people names (Glacier, Wolfgar, and Grimwolf)

thanks WGD! yep, Neerah is an insanely cute and very lovable dog - and a fierce fighter at the same time. Plus has already saved my ass by warning me as I was about to walk into one of the more dangerous snakes here...
