Changelogs
JUST UPDATED:

1.9 contains various small tweaks. Made Skyrim look better in general, improved skies a good deal in particular, with more natural coloring. 2.0 will come with ENBSeries 1.114, which adds a new means of doing outdoor shadows. Will require a good amount of tweaking to make that look right, but results will be good. Expect it in a month or so. It might even free me up to remaster troublesome interiors like Dragonsreach without messing up the almost perfect exteriors.

1.8 contains tweaks to help Skyrim Plus look its best throughout Skyrim. I HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO ENHANCE SHADOWS ON ATI HARDWARE -- VERSIONS 1.6+

1.8 contains major bugfixes for interior lighting. It makes some smaller spaces look slightly worse but (mostly) fixes the major spots like Dragonsreach. It is a careful balance between having all areas look good or only some look very good, and it's a lot better now.

You don't see 1.5 because it is / was a buggy development version I opted not to release. Ditto 1.7.

ABOUT:
Skryim Plus is a suite of visual changes designed around ENBSeries and RLWC Hardcore. The goal of Skyrim Plus is to provide a subdued change in visual style to better immerse players with bright and colorful days and dark nights -- without engaging in garish, tacky changes to effects or lighting and reasonable performance. Each effect has been tuned until its presence improves the experience without going too far and changing it into something else entirely.

In addition to the usual effects like SSAO and subsurface scattering Skyrim Plus uses a very subdued film grain effect to simulate the imperfections of average human vision. Rather than looking like film grain this effect makes edges and detail on far away objects unclear while maintaining fine detail on close-up objects. Additionally, the color between mountain clouds and sky clouds has been extensively matched. Skyrim Plus adds sun rays to the game and (for Nvidia users for now) replaces Skyrim's shadow rendering with a better version.

You can use Shift+F12 to toggle Skyrim Plus on or off (excluding the RLWC changes) and insert to take screenshots (pressing print screen will take both a Skyrim screenshot and an ENB screenshot). Pressing * on the numpad shows a framerate counter.

INSTALLATION:
1. Download this mod and extract all files to the main Skyrim directory (above Data).
2. Download the v1.113 ENBSeries binaries from http://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0113.htm and extract them into the same directory (I recommend the .dll version). Only extract binaries, not configs or palette. Especially do not extract ENBbloom.fx.
3. Download and install Realistic Lighting With Customization 3.4a from Skyrim Nexus. This is optional but highly recommended. Skyrim Plus is untested without RLWC and may behave unexpectedly. You can use the Vision or Hardcore preset. You can get RLWC here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654
4. Launch Skyrim!

IMPORTANT:
If you are updating from 1.1 or 1.0, you should delete effect.txt and enbbloom.fx from your Skyrim directory BEFORE installing 1.2 or higher! These files have been trimmed for performance and aesthetic reasons.

Extract only d3d9.dll OR enbseries.dll and enbinjector.exe from the ENBSeries download. Do not overwrite this mod's files or extract any stray files from ENB.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Possible underwater bug with ATI
Larger than normal performance hit with SSAO (trimming this back is first on the table for 2.0)
