Ever wondered what soul gem fragments are used for in Skyrim? - Absolutely nothing!
Well, until now..
This mod allows you to use your unwanted soul gem fragments to craft yourself soul gems.
They can be crafted with a forge under the Miscellaneous section.
Detail:
--------------------
To craft each size of Soul Gem you need:
Petty Soul Gem - 2 Fragments
Lesser Soul Gem - 3 Fragments
Common Soul Gem - 4 Fragments
Great Soul Gem - 5 Fragments
Grand Soul Gem - 8 Fragments
Black Soul Gem - 10 Fragments + Filled Greater or Grand Soul Gem
Black soul gems require a filled greater or grand soul gem as the soul is required to force the soul gem to accept black souls.
You are able to use the smelter to break down the soul gems into shards - note that the shard amount received is lower than the cost.
You are now able to break down gems into soul gem fragments, each gem will break into 3 soul gem fragments, and this can be done in the smelter.
I have now made it so all smelter recipes added by this mod will only show if you meet the requirements to make at least 1, as to not add too much clutter to the long list in the Smelter.
As Skyrim counts each size of fragment as a different ingredient for crafting, you may need to make all your fragments the 1 type that I have used - this is done in the smelter.
