About this mod

This mod edits 30 meshes to make Skyrim a more modest country. Unlike other modesty mods that simply replace immodest armors with modest ones, this mod tweaks each armor so that you can enjoy a more modest Skyrim, while maintaining all of its original diversity.

This mod edits both the skinny and fat versions of 15 female amours. That's 30 meshes designed to make Skyrim a more modest country.
Unlike other modesty mods that simply replace immodest armors with modest ones, this mod tweaks each armor so that you can enjoy a more modest Skyrim, while maintaining all of its original diversity.
The following armor and clothing has been changed:

"I think your 'Skyrim Modesty Mod' is some really nice work!
I say this not merely because I don't care much for skimpy armor & clothes in Skyrim, but also because I think you have made improvements to several sets which go beyond a mere concession to modesty; they are improvements that make me think 'this looks so much better' before even considering that their purpose was to show less skin! I speak particularly of the Falmer, Draugr and Nocturnal sets."

"Just stumbled across your mod, and I must say, I'm glad to see someone out there with similar tastes. I don't mind a bit of cleavage or what-not in the Tavern clothing for example, but armours designed to keep you alive in the frozen wilderness? Nope, you gotta cover up. I understand the Nords are quite resistant to the cold, but still. I particularly like the Saviour's Hide mesh. Fits perfectly"

" Hi just found your Modesty Mod for Skyrim and wanted to say job well done. It's the opposite of pretty much every mod now and it's nice to see some people have good taste in game design's fashion."

First, choose the proper download.
Dawnguard 1.0 includes everything in Version 1.1, plus 4 Dawnguard meshes (2 armors).

Merge the 'Data' folder with the 'Data' folder in your Skyrim folder.
Then make sure to check the "AK- Modesty Mod.esp" file or the "AK- Modesty Mod Dawnguard.esp" file, depending on which you're using.
It's just that simple!

This mod began with a simple mesh replacer which I coined More Modest Tavern Girls. In it I simply replaced the wench outfit with the barkeep outfit. It was a messy solution, and I decided a better solution was possible.

Working on these 30 meshes has taught me a lot both about Blender and about how to get a model into Skyrim, rigged and working. I've gained some great experience with Gimp, Blender, Nifskope, and the every fascinating Creation Kit.

Version 1.1 Includes a fix to the farmclothes04 mesh
Dawnguard 1.0 includes everything in Version 1.1, plus 4 Dawnguard meshes (2 armors).

I will be coming out with another version that includes armor for Dawnguard. It should take me a week to a month, depending on circumstances, so stay posted.

EDIT: Done now!

This mod will be incompatible with mods that change vanilla armor meshes, but it shouldn't be incompatible with texture replacers.

Thanks to Gimp for being a free, reliable, and efficient photo editing program. (I used gimp to create all of my section break pictures).

Thanks to Blender, for being an awesome, free, easy to use 3d program. (I used Blender for pretty much the whole project).

Thanks to Nifskope, for fitting that perfect Niche between Blender and the Creation Kit. You guys rock!

Thanks to Skyrim Nexus for being an absolutely superior file hosting site, and for supporting your free clients.

Thanks to the wikis, I don't know what I'd do without them. UESP for lore, The Creation Kit for all things Skyrim CK (especially papyrus), The CS Wiki for Oblivion CS references, and finally the Nexus Wiki (Specifically Creating an armor for Skyrim) for creating a lifeline tutorial for a project like this.

And finally, thanks to Bethesda for making such an awesome game, and then turning it over to your fans to tweak, change, and add to it in any way they can think up!
