Please note that I can't create new models so don't request any. If you want Van Hellsing's crossbow then create the models for it yourself.

STORY:
The Thalmor have found some old Dwemer schematics and are rebuilding the Dwemers most fearsome weapons - automatic crossbows!
Scouts have found that they have converted Reachwind Eyrie, a Dwemer tower southeast of Markarth and northeast of Dushnikh Yal, into a research outpost. Can you stop them before it's too late?


CONTENT:
This mod adds 3 automatic Dwemer crossbows to the game;

• Dwemer Cheiroballistra, a heavy semi automatic crossbow.
• Dwemer Polybolos, a light burst firing automatic crossbow. Hold down your mouse when you are firing this weapon otherwise you will reload it.
• Automatic Dwemer Crossbow, a fully automatic crossbow.
  

You can find them and some schematics for them (apart from the Automatic Dwemer one, Dwarven Smithing perk needed) at Reachwind Eyrie. All crossbows can be used by any NPC.
This mod is also intented as a modder resource, feel free to use the included scripts to create your own automatic weapons!
I hope that you find the crossbows balanced, otherwise please let me know.

INSTALLING

• Install as any ordinary mod, dump all files inside skyrim/data & activate j3x-autocrossbows.esp.
  

Will not work with Skyrim lesser than 1.8.



HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN AUTOMATIC CROSSBOWS

• Load up your mod as the active file (or create a new one) and j3x-autocrossbows.esp
• Create copies of J3XCrossbowAutoSpell and J3XCrossbowAutoEffect, let's call them (1) and (2)
• Make sure (1) is refering to (2) as it's effect.
• Attach J3XCrossbowAutoScript to a crossbow of your choise, set the crossbowSpell property to (1).
• Depending on the type of firing mechanics you want, change the script attached to (2) to another one.
• Edit the properties of the script attached to (2) so it matches the desired clip size and firing speed.
• Done! - Save and try it out!

KNOWN BUGS

• Only the last arrow carries the enchantment if the crossbow has any.
