UPDATED to 1.1 - see changes in log or below
This has the same look as vanilla Skyrim with a bit extra color, not very much, just enough to be noticeable. Also some extra sharpening to give the textures a more HD look but without over doing it.
(with my firefox settings, i middle click the images above to see them full size in a new tab - you can see the changes much better that way)
This uses FXAA Post Process Injector by some_dude (http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=131) and has tweaks to injFX_Settings.h by me. This is using some-dude's latest version at time of upload. There are different versions out there which can cause a crash if you're trying multiple tweaks, so I included the version that this was made for.
INCLUDED:
FXAA Post Process Injector by some_dude
- injFX_Shaders - folder
- d3d9.dll - file
- injFX_Settings.h - file tweaked by me
- log.log - file
- shader.fx - file
- Z - Remove Injector Files.bat - file created by me to easily remove injector files (it does not remove itself though)
DOWNLOAD:
you only need to download version 1.1 OR version 1.0 if you want a bit more sharpening
INSTALL:
extract folder directly into the Skyrim base directory (see screenshot for example)
that's it to make it work!
SETTINGS:
- I use AAx2 with the FXAA turned OFF in the launcher options. (see screenshot for example)
- while in game, press the "Pause/Break" key to turn on and off the effect to see the difference.
UNINSTALL:
2 methods:
- just run the included "Z - Remove Injector Files.bat" found in your skyrim base directory to remove all the injector files. (see screenshot for reference)
- manually delete "Z - Remove Injector Files.bat" or leave it if you plan to use/remove other injector files.
OR
- manually remove the files shown in green found in the above section "INCLUDED:"
VERSION:
1.0 - First uploaded version. Screenshots are from this version
- This version is sharper than 1.1
1.1 - Version that I am using now
- Change Log
-- removed the post sharpen effect as it was negligible
-- tweaked the sharpening amount down one notch providing a sharp but smooth image more to my taste.
