I've given ElioraArin full permission to use the HD PMR Retexture resources in her Black Shadowmere retexture. I highly recommend you check it out! 

There's no guarantee I'll be able to update the PMR mod anytime soon however ElioraArin is very passionate about her mod, I imagine she'll no doubt update it a lot more than I've updated mine lol. It's already an upgrade from the HD PMR Retexture so seriously, go have a look!

If you still wish to choose the HD PMR Retexture please note, there appears to be a bug (discovered by Apolwnas) which replaces some of the vanilla saddles with mine. I will eventually make a patch for this and update the mod (again, with computer issues and real life there's no real time frame I'm afraid) or at least offer those resources to other modders like ElioraArin to use.

MOD INFO
The 'Pimp my Ride Retexture - Shadowmere' is a simple lore friendly texture replacer for those who want Shadowmere to look a little more like the undead eternal horse he (previously she) is without being over the top. So far there are six saddle styles to choose from and a pure black HD retexture of Shadowmere itself.

* Latest Version 1.21.
* Edited with Photoshop CS5.
* Textures and maps enhanced to 1024x1024.
* Saved as DXT3 ARGB 8bpp|explicit alpha - 300px/cm.

HOW TO INSTALL WITH NMM (Nexus Mod Manager)
Simply select the ''download with manager'' option above and follow the on screen instructions. The installer script was very kindly created by uptodown and makes choosing styles, installing and uninstalling very simple. If you find it useful, why not pop to his profile and give him a Kudos!

HOW TO INSTALL MANUALLY
* Extract the rar file anywhere.
(using winrar, winzip or 7zip. All easily found by google)
* Pick which style you want and open the folder.
(if it's the HD/HQ skin there's only one data folder anyway)
* Right click the folder called 'data' and select 'copy'.
(or select by left clicking then press ctrl+c)
* Open your Skyrim installation directory.
(usually c: > program files > steam > steamapps > common > skyrim)
* Right click anywhere in the folder and select 'Paste'.
(or left click anywhere in the folder and press ctrl+v)
* Accept any prompts about merging the folders.
(all the folders are zipped in order so just let them go where they need to)
* Your Ride has been Pimped. Play and enjoy!

HOW TO UNINSTALL
Use the NMM if that's how you installed, otherwise go to your Skyrim installation directory then [data > textures > actors > horse] and delete...
* saddleshadowmere.dds
* horse01_n.dds
* horse04.dds
* horsemanetail.dds
* horsemanetail_n.dds

CONFLICTS OR BUGS
Some of the vanilla saddles will be replaced with the saddle you choose for Shadowmere. Apart from that, it shouldn't conflict with any other horse textures as long as the bump maps (_n.dds files) are the same resolution as mine (1024x1024). It will however replace any textures which use the following dds files...
* saddleshadowmere.dds
* horse04.dds
* horsemanetail.dds
