Rezel Modified Spells and Settings

This mod used to be part of my REZEL SORTING MOD as a mod called "Rez Spell Edit", but I decided that it would make more sense to have it as a standalone mod and I renamed it :P. It will start as v1.0 but it will include everything that was done previously.

DESCRIPTION

Simply put, RMSS changes the parameters of several spells and game settings, in order to give players new levels of flexibility, freedom and power, and also to add many "quality of life" improvements to Skyrim.

PS: While many of the features are meant to provide better "QoL", some features can be overpowering and will most probably give players an unfair advantage.

Mod Patches

These are the RMSS mod patches made so far:

- Immersive Weapons (arrows tweaked).

Future Plans

My next project is to make an MCM menu for RMSS, so that players would be able to customize it as they see fit.
I am not sure when that will happen since I have to learn how to do that first :P, but it's something I would very much like to do.

INSTALLATION

This mod features a FOMOD installer for Nexus Mod Manager.

Automatic: Install using Nexus Mod Manager.
Manual: Download and put the ".esp" file(s) in Skyrim\Data folder.

Update from a previous version of RMSS by uninstalling the old file(s) and reinstalling the new ".esp" file(s), either automatically in NMM or manually as described above.

Uninstall via Nexus Mod Manager or by deleting the ".esp" file(s) from Skyrim\Data folder.

PS: This mod have no scripts whatsoever, so it can be safely installed, reinstalled, uninstalled and updated, with no effect on your saves.

LOAD ORDER

It is best to have this mod toward the end of your load order to override any other mods that may change the same spells or settings.
Load any RMSS Patches after the main RMSS Mod.

>> SPELL duration:

Increased the duration of many Summon and Buff spells (from Staves, Scrolls and Spells) to 300s or 600s, up from 60s for most spells.

Basically, I tried to add some "quality of life" improvements to several spells, at least the "Fire and Forget" ones, to reduce the amount of spell switching, which to be honest I find cumbersome in Skyrim :P.

>> ARROW Speed (Projectile):

Increased the projectile speed of all arrows to make them more reliable at longer distances.
Also, added the same changes to the arrows of "Immersive Weapons" mod, in the related patch.

> All Arrows
Speed: 6000, up from 3600.
Gravity: 0.25, down from 0.35.

> Riekling Spear

=====

For better archery aiming in Skyrim, I recommend adding/changing the following lines in your Skyrim.ini file (the one in your "My Games" folder). I use them myself to great effect. Go to your "/Documents/My Games/Skyrim/" directory, and add the lines as you see here.

Note: If you don't have an [Actor] and/or [Combat] section(s) in your "Skirim.ini" file already, just create them toward the end of the file.
PS: Make sure to backup "Skyrim.ini" first before any edits.

[Actor]
fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=14000.0000

[Combat]
fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult=0.0
fMagnetismLookingMult=0.0
f1PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7
f3PArrowTiltUpAngle=0.7
f1PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7
f3PBoltTiltUpAngle=0.7

fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist: This increases the distance that arrows can fly to eliminate disappearing arrows.

fMagnetismStrafeHeadingMult & fMagnetismLookingMult: These control the aim-assist feature in Skyrim (i.e. Auto-Aim). Auto-Aim basically shifts arrows towards your enemies to help you hit them, if the arrow was close enough but was going to miss. Setting these to "0" disables Auto-Aim. If you like, you can keep Auto-Aim enabled by simply not adding these 2 lines.

f1PArrowTiltUpAngle, f3PArrowTiltUpAngle, f1PBoltTiltUpAngle and f3PBoltTiltUpAngle: These settings control where the aiming reticle/dot/crosshair is displayed on your UI. With "0.7" it should be at the center to help you aim and hit better. Even though gravity is reduced, it still exists; but arrows should fly a lot straighter now, reducing the need to arc your arrows higher in order to hit far-away targets. Lastly, in Skyrim, "f1" generally refers to 1st Person, while "f3" refers to 3rd Person, just fyi :P You can also experiment with changing those values till you get something you are comfy with!

>> SHOUT Duration:

Increased the duration of a few shouts to reduce the amount of shout switching.

> Elemental Fury
Duration: 300s (5 mins), up from 15s

> Marked for Death
Duration: 600s (10 mins), up from 60s

> Aura Whisper
Duration: 40/50/60s, up from: 10/20/30s

> Become Ethereal
Duration: 16/26/36s, up from: 8/13/18s

> Slowtime
Duration: 16/24/32s, up from: 8/12/16s

>> Faster SHOUTS:

Faster shouting means you don't have to hold down the key for a full shout.

> fShoutTime1 = 0.001000, down from 0.200000.
Minimum time in milliseconds you have to hold the shout key to shout 2 words.

> fShoutTime2 = 0.020000, down from 0.900000.
Minimum time in milliseconds you have to hold the shout key to shout 3 words.

>> POTION Duration:

I increased the duration of a few potions, because I felt the default duration was too short and restrictive.
Both found/bought potions and alchemy-created ones are covered.

PS: For alchemy-created potions, this only applies to new potions, i.e. those created after installing this mod.
Previously created potions are NOT affected.

Found/Bought Potions:

> Potion - Enchanting [ I ] to [ IV ]
Duration: 600s (10 mins), up from 60s

> Potion - Smithing [ I ] to [ IV ]

> Potion - Barter [ I ] to [ IV ]

> Potion - Waterbreathing [ I ] to [ IV ]

> iTrainingNumAllowedPerLevel = 500, up from 5.

>> PICKPOCKETING chance:

Better chance to pickpocket stuff. I hated having to reload continually!!

> fPickPocketMinChance 20.0000, up from 0.
Minimum chance to successfully pickpocket an item.

> fPickPocketMaxChance = 100.0000, up from 90.
Maximum chance to successfully pickpocket an item.

>> TWO-HANDED weapons:

Faster swings for 2H weapons.

> fWeaponTwoHandedAnimationSpeedMult = 1.800000, up from 1.5.
Multiplier for two-handed weapon animations. Higher numbers result in faster swings.

Stealth is more deadly, to your enemies, as it should be!

The critical damage multiplier caused by your dagger when used from Stealth.

> fCombatSneakBowMult = 4.0000, up from 2.
The critical damage multiplier caused by your bow when used from Stealth.

> fCombatSneakCrossbowMult = 4.0000, up from 2.
The critical damage multiplier caused by your xbow when used from Stealth.

>> BREATH when swimming:

Sorry Argonians! Now everyone can swim underwater for longer.

> fActorSwimBreathBase = 60.0000, up from 10.
Number of seconds (additive) an actor can be submerged before drowning.

> fActorSwimBreathDamage = 0.0800, unchanged.
Percentage of health lost per second while drowning.

> fActorSwimBreathMult = 0.6000, up from 0.2.
Number of minutes (additive) an actor can be submerged before drowning.

>> FAST TRAVEL Timescale Fix:

This setting determines the game time elasped while Fast Traveling somewhere. At the default setting of 1, the elapsed time is high. A setting of 4 makes the elsapsed time lower, i.e. Fast Traveling to a place will roughly require as much time as running or riding to it.

> fFastTravelSpeedMult = 4.0000, up from 1.

>> INVENTORY:

This setting determines, when in inventory, when the game prompts for a specific quantity via the slider.
You can change this if you like

> iInventoryAskQuantityAt = 5, unchanged.
