I just whipped up this retexture in a few minutes. I'll be using this one in my future modding as well but feel free to enjoy this retexture for now.
Updated! Ok so now the screenshots I took have the brightness turned up in game so you can the skeletons better and I retextured them to be darker than the original skeletons but still a fairly visible and lighter than it was before.
