About this mod

Fixes Ancient Knowledge gained from the 'Unfathomable Depths' quest so it does what it says it does. Alternate *.esp provided for players who felt the original effect was too overpowered.

Ancient Knowledge Fix

Author: bluedanieru

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reward for Unfathomable Depths, Ancient Knowledge, states in the description that it provides a 25% bonus to armor when wearing Dwarven Armor, and that your Smithing skill will increase 15% faster. What it actually does is give you a permanent bonus to all armor of 25% and a permanent bonus to Smithing skill of 15.

The "fix" implemented in the 1.9 update will still give you a bonus to all your armor *except* Dwarven Armor (!). Furthermore it will give you an additional bonus of 15% to your Smithing skill via a perk, for a total bonus of 30% (!!!).

(!!!!!)

This fixes the reward you get so that it does what it says it does.

The balanced version also changes what it says it does to a 15% bonus to Dwarven Armor, and Smithing increases 10% faster. In effect Dwarven armor will be about on par with Orcish with the balanced version, rather than more akin to Ebony with the original. If you think the original is overpowered, the balanced mod is for you.
