While reading the Skyrim performance\IQ review on [H]ard|OCP, I came across one of several screenshots illustrating Bethesda's strange tendency to juxtapose low res textures next to hi res textures. So I'm "fixing" the tree stumps... Readme below:

Install ======= 1. Download. 2. Extract. Copy/Move Data folder to your Skyrim directory. 3. Overwrite existing file. 4. Launch Skyrim!
Uninstall ========= 1. Delete the "treepineforestcut01.dds" and "treepineforestcut01_n.dds" files located in your %Skyrim\data\textures\landscape\trees\ directory
